  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional for heat)
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 2 Tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, extra smoky)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray rack with nonstick spray.
  2. Pat drumsticks dry. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and chili powder.
  3. Arrange drumsticks on the rack. Bake 25 minutes.
  4. Whisk BBQ sauce, honey (or brown sugar), vinegar, Worcestershire, and smoked paprika.
  5. Brush drumsticks with glaze. Bake 15 minutes, flip, brush again, then bake 10–15 minutes more until sticky, caramelized, and 165°F internal temp.
  6. Optional: Broil 1–2 minutes for darker edges. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
