Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans is a hearty and flavorful dish perfect for a weeknight dinner. Tender steak bites are seared and coated in a garlic butter sauce, served over creamy mashed potatoes with crisp green beans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 12 oz fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic seasoning

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant, then return steak bites to the pan and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  4. In a separate pan, sauté green beans with olive oil, garlic seasoning, salt, and pepper until tender with a slight crisp.
  5. Serve steak bites over mashed potatoes with green beans on the side. Spoon extra garlic butter sauce over the top before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
  • Use Yukon Gold potatoes for extra creamy mashed potatoes.
  • For a richer flavor, substitute heavy cream for milk in the mashed potatoes.
