1-Pan Healthy Taco Recipe That Will Blow Your Taste Buds Away

A healthy and low-carb alternative to traditional tacos, made with ground turkey, fresh pico de gallo, and crisp lettuce wraps.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 head butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned and fully cooked.
  2. Season turkey with taco seasoning, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt to make pico de gallo.
  4. Spoon the seasoned turkey into lettuce leaves.
  5. Top with pico de gallo and avocado slices. Drizzle lightly with olive oil before serving.

Notes

  • Use butter lettuce for a softer wrap or iceberg for extra crunch.
  • Adjust seasoning to your taste.
  • For extra heat, add chopped jalapeños.
