Irresistible Crockpot Chicken Parmesan in Just 4 Hours

Crockpot Chicken Parmesan

This cheesy slow cooker classic is pure Italian comfort food!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (your favorite jar or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (or parsley)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: cooked spaghetti or linguine for serving

Instructions

  1. Prep and Season the Chicken: Rub chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear lightly in a hot skillet with olive oil (optional but flavor-packed and totally worth it).
  2. Layer in the Crockpot: Pour 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom. Add chicken, then pour the rest of the sauce on top. This builds layers of bold flavor for a dreamy, cheesy dinner.
  3. Slow Cook Until Tender: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2.5–3 hours. Chicken should be juicy and tender—the ultimate low-effort, high-reward dinner.
  4. Top with Cheese: In the last 30 minutes, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the chicken. Cover and let it melt into that perfect cheesy crust.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Serve over pasta or enjoy as-is. Garnish with chopped basil for a fresh, Italian-inspired finish.

Notes

  • Optional: Serve over cooked spaghetti or linguine.
  • For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes after adding cheese.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
