A delicious recipe for creamy spicy meatballs served over rice, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs until browned and cooked through.
  4. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and chili flakes in a small saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss cooked meatballs in the glaze until fully coated.
  6. Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, sriracha, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl.
  7. Serve glazed meatballs over warm rice, drizzle with creamy sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of spiciness by increasing or reducing chili flakes and sriracha.
  • For a healthier version, use ground turkey instead of beef.
