Chocolate Marble Croissants

Flaky, golden croissants layered with rich chocolate dough—an easy breakfast or brunch showstopper.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 sheet chocolate puff pastry (or mix 2 tbsp cocoa into a second sheet)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate spread (like Nutella or ganache)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Stack the plain puff pastry over the chocolate pastry, pressing lightly. Roll out into a large rectangle.
  2. Cut triangles from the dough and add a small dollop of chocolate spread at the base. Roll up tightly into croissant shapes.
  3. Place croissants on a lined baking tray, brush with beaten egg.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 18–22 minutes or until puffed and golden.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Use cold puff pastry for easier handling.
  • Adjust baking time based on your oven.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
