25-Minute Chicken Fajita Skillet Your Tastebuds Will Crave

Chicken Fajita Skillet

An easy weeknight dinner full of bold flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast tenders
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow or orange bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fajita seasoning (or taco seasoning)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lime wedges, to serve
  • Optional: tortillas, sour cream, shredded cheese, guac for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken tenders in olive oil, fajita seasoning, paprika, cumin, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  3. Add sliced peppers and onions to the same pan and sauté until tender-crisp with a little char.
  4. Return chicken to the pan, toss everything together, and let it cook for 1–2 more minutes.
  5. Serve hot with tortillas, lime wedges, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Use a pre-made fajita seasoning blend for convenience.
  • Adjust spice levels to your preference.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
